Responsibilities:Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.Present financial data to senior management, providing insights into company performance and financial health.Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.Monitor budget performance, track variances, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.Provide support in evaluating capital expenditures and investment opportunities.Manage cash flow by monitoring cash balances, analyzing cash forecasts, and optimizing cash inflows and outflows.Ensure efficient management of working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory.Contribute to the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and growth plans.Provide strategic insights to senior management on financial implications of business decisions and potential opportunities.Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws. Oversee the preparation of tax returns, audits, and other financial reporting requirements. Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.Foster a collaborative and productive team environment that supports professional growth.Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance accuracy, and improve overall efficiency.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2 - 4 years of progressive experience in accounting / finance roles, with demonstrated growth in responsibilities.Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.Advanced skills in financial software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Excel.Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.Strong ethical standards and commitment to integrity in financial management.ICAN certification is an added advantageCandidate should be familiar with Xero accounting software. Role is fully onsite. Monday- Friday. Besides HMO, there are NO other perks. Remuneration: NGN250,000 - 300,000 Net.
