Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska, (just outside of metro Omaha) is seeking an exceptional full-time assistant/associate professor to serve as the Clinical Education Coordinator for the Master of Athletic Training (MAT) program within the School of Human Performance. The ideal candidate will teach in the MAT and in the Human Performance undergraduate program when necessary. Start date for this position is August 2021.
Description of Responsibilities:
Fulfill the role of Clinical Education Coordinator of the Master of Athletic Training program, and perform the duties set forth by the CAATE
Instructundergraduate and graduatecourses within the School of Human Performance
Review, recommend, and implement continuous improvement for curriculum, instruction, and assessment
Assist with oversight and guidance for adjunct instructors teaching within the school of Human Performance
Mentor students studying Human Performance
Meet with prospective students interested in the School of Human Performance
Qualifications:
A master's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Physical Education, Athletic Training, or closely related field is required; a doctorate is preferred.
BOC Certified Athletic Trainer required
ACSM or NSCA certification preferred
A minimum of 3 years of professional work experience, teaching at the college level, or teaching/ training adults
