As part of the Operations Team in the Government Incident Reporting and Operations Centre (GIROC), you will be responsible to (1) coordinate the Whole-of-Government (WOG) incident management of data and cybersecurity incidents, and any disruptions to info-communication technologies (ICT) systems, and (2) elevate the effectiveness and readiness of the public agencies to manage these incidents.
As part of the ICT incident management process, you will also have to understand the root causes of the incidents, analyse trends and recommend measures to prevent similar ICT incidents.
What to Expect:
Raise, train and sustain a team to manage ICT and Government data incidents
Identify and monitor the ICT systems and services supporting the Smart Nation and Digital Government initiatives to ensure their availability and provide timely incident management when needed
Detect and analyse ICT & data incidents for timely response and escalation to the appropriate decision-making platforms
Respond and remediate ICT & data incidents including coordinating with the affected agencies and relevant stakeholders to limit and contain the impact of the incident, and recover from the incident expeditiously
Conduct post-incident inquires to distil and share lessons and measures with WOG to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents
Collate open source intelligence (OSINT) to understand the global ICT incident trends and take any preventive measures
Innovate and utilise info-communication technologies to enhance and improve ICT incident management
How to Succeed:
Degree or Diploma in Infocomm Security, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology or equivalent
At least 5-10 years’ relevant experience in operations and incident management
Led operations and incident management teams
Able to work independently and contribute as a team player
Demonstrate good judgment while under pressure
Able to work with sense of urgency while paying attention to detail
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
