Associate Data Scientist

Job Description

Job Duties:
Perform analysis using data science techniques on structured and unstructured data sets, and develop solutions for targeted business needs.
Conduct statistical analysis and programming using statistical software.
Mine data using modern tools and programming languages.
Implement models to uncover patterns and predictions creating business value and innovation.
Evaluate and design experiments to monitor key metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
Develop mathematical and statistical models to distinguish relevant content or events and recognize patterns.
Participate in presentations and communicate results of analysis and findings.

Job Requirements:
Degree: Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or a similar discipline

Experience: At least 1 year of research experience using data science methodology such as statistical modeling and machine learning modeling

Skills: Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python and R. Strong proficiency in SQL. Proficiency in using at least one query language and using data visualization tools. Experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

Additional Requirements – Internal candidates:
Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks.
Store Support CenterTeammates: minimumof one year employment with Schnucks.
Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
