Compensation:Tuition waivers up to 9 credit hours per academic semester,18 credit hours per academic year
Hours:At least 20 hours per week (additional hours expected on busier weeks)

Purpose of Position:
Under supervision, the Graduate Assistant for Athletics Operations provides general or specific support to Daemen Athletics in the areas including but not limited to sports, game/event management, work study student oversight, and other administrative areas as deemed necessary.
Tasks/Duties Performed:
Primary Duties
Under supervision of the Director of Athletic Operations & Communications, serve as both the primary and secondary game administrator for certain games and other events.
Assist with game day and event day setup and tear-down for various events throughout the academic year.
Assist with social media platforms on an as needed basis.
Creation of game day PA scripts, protocols, and staffing documents for specific events.
Oversee, stock and inventory concessions operations for all athletic contests.
Management of on-site laundry for athletic teams.
Assist with managing Daemen intramural program.

Secondary Duties
Serve as on-site administrator for student-athlete study hall hours (assigned by the Director of Athletics Operations)
Provide office hours to assist with Athletics Operations duties.
Assist with management of Academic and Wellness Center, on an as needed basis.
Faculty and staff are expected to maintain the confidentiality of all confidential and proprietary information during and after their employment with the (including but not limited to: student personal information, student grades, employee personal information, etc.), both College. If a faculty or staff member has a question about the confidentiality of a particular matter, he/she should consult their supervisor. Any violation of this rule shall subject the faculty /staff member to disciplinary action, up to and including immediate termination of employment. Please refer to your Employee Guide for the College's complete statement on confidentiality.
Operates the program under the rules and regulations of the College, the NCAA, and the ECC; understanding that an employee can be suspended for a period of time without pay or terminated if found to be involved in significant or repetitive violations of NCAA regulations;
Performs other duties as directed by the Athletic Director.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1) Ability to work both traditional and non-traditional business hours.
Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, college breaks, and some holidays.

2) Ability to receive telephone calls/emails, respond to inquiries and communicate with others by telephone/email.
3) General interest in sports and a working knowledge of rules and regulations for various sports including basketball, soccer, volleyball, bowling, triathlon, cross country, tennis, and track and field.
4) Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
5) Strong communication skills.
6) Proficient in the use and maintenance of various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
9) Ability to drive a personal or university vehicle for the purpose of university business on a regular basis. (Vaild Driver's License - DMV Check will be run)
10) Current certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid. Annual Blood Borne Pathogen education/training with Employee Engagement Office.
11)Must possess the ability to adhere to and comply with NCAA, ECC, Department and College rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
1) Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
2) Admission into a post graduate program at Daemen College is required.
3) Experience working with a college athletics program (preferred, not required)
