Job Description
We are a growing natural skin and hair care company in Lagos Nigeria. We currently manufacture all of our products (skin and hair care products) at our production facility at Ikeja Lagos. We need a Production Manager to oversee the activities of the production unit. The role reports directly to the MD, and supervises a team of 3 people.
Duties include:
• Supervising the maintenance and prepping of production and packaging areas for production (using sterile techniques).
• Properly identifying raw materials and developing an understanding of ingredient quality (with provided training).
• Measuring raw materials correctly using scales and volume measuring methods.
• Correctly following standard formulation sheets and processes for different production activities.
• Performing calculations to correctly scale recipes up or down as needed
• Developing an extreme eye for detail and upholding expected quality of finished goods.
• Correctly assigning batch dates and calculating expiration dates based on batch formulation documents
• Supervising inventory counts and restocking.
• Helping receive raw materials and cataloguing them properly.
• Using strong organizational skills to oversee production prepping and clean up, finished product packaging and labeling.
• Organizing daily tasks according to Production Schedule.
• Following basic data entry and communication procedures on a computer using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• At times assembling shipping boxes and assisting the Customer Service team when needed.
