Job Summary
The Facility manager is responsible for the security, maintenance and services of work facilities to ensure that they meet the needs of the estate.

Job Description
Overseeing and agreeing contracts and providers for services including security, cleaning, gardening,
diesel and so on
Ensuring that basic facilities, such as water and power system equipment, are well-maintained.
Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness
Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health, safety and security standards
Drafting reports and making written recommendations.
General management of hard and soft facilities.
Key skills required for facilities manager:
Communication and influencing skills, in person and in writing
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Decision-making
The ability to lead and manage teams and projects
Teamwork
Attention to detail but also the ability to see the implications for the bigger picture
Commercial awareness
Customer service
Organisation, time management, prioritizing and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload
A good knowledge of IT packages.
Qualifications and training required:
A university degree in relevant disciplines.
However, degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, mechanical etc) will be an added advantage)
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years continuous experience in facility management, or supervisory role in facility maintenance.
