Job Description
Farm Manager:
Farm managers are responsible for the daily planning, organisation, supervision and administration of activities on farm estates. Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Forward planning
· Making policy decisions
· Budgeting and maintaining accurate financial records
· Organising sales and purchases of livestock, farm equipment, crops and agricultural products
· Handling paperwork and keeping administrative records
· Recruiting, training/instructing and supervising farm workers
· Making sure that work progresses satisfactorily
· Ensuring compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards
· Keeping an up-to-date knowledge of pests and diseases
· Ensuring that the farm is profitable and meets projected financial targets
· Organising maintenance/repair of farm property, equipment and machinery
· Advertising and marketing farm products or the work of the farmer
·
Other responsibilities include:
· Organising shipments
· Coordinating drivers, vehicles, loads and journeys
· Analysing data to assess performance, discover logistical problems and device plans for improvements
· Operating IT systems to manage timings, costs and stock levels

· Negotiating and agreeing on contracts
· Planning for and negotiating technical difficulties
· Preparing paperwork for regulatory bodies
· Liaising with and managing staff and shifts
· Monitoring stock and managing waste

You'll need to show evidence of the following:
· A knowledge of food production and an awareness of customer demand, food standards and sustainability
· Organisational and time-management skills
· Work experience in the Agric sector
· The ability to work under pressure

· Willingness to be outside in all weathers and patience to undertake all sorts of practical, sometimes repetitive jobs

EXCEPTIONS CAN BE MADE WHEN DEEMED NECESSARY
Upon employment half, ( 50% ) of your first-month salary would be withheld by the company. This will be paid to the employee when employment has been terminated by either party, in the event that the employee damages company property the sum withheld would be released only if the company chooses to.
