Job Description
Job Mission
To manage client relationships, formalize the collection, organization, and reporting of the company’s credit lines to clients, and ensure all financial information is captured in an accurate, timely, and complete manner that improves the efficiency of the company’s operations.
The following outcomes are performance expectations for this position. The company shall provide the required tools and resources, where required, to achieve these outcomes.
Loan origination:
You will be responsible for receiving loan applications and providing first-level evaluation and approval.
Evaluate every loan application according to the company's pre-defined assessment criteria within 24 hours of submission, and forward qualified applications for final Level- 2 approval.
Respond to applicants' questions and enquiries within 24 hours, and resolve any loan application-related issues.
Loan administration:
You will be responsible for the performance of the company’s loan portfolio as follows:
Maintain, monitor and update client loan account records, including but not limited to: posting of loan repayments, verifying client account balances, and updating new client information for new and existing loans.
Monitor under-performing loans and overdue payments. Manage client relationships; contact and follow up with clients via phone, email, or social media to resolve outstanding debts and negotiate payment schedules.
Respond to client questions and enquiries and resolve any loan-related issues, including but not limited to: information on account balances and outstanding amounts, and printing of account statements. All questions and enquiries must be addressed within 24 hours.
Produce reports, statements, and analyses of the performance of the company's loan portfolio as required by your supervisor or manager.
Company Accounts:
You will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts, as follows:
Within the first 30 days of starting this role, establish a chart of accounts and recommend appropriate accounting software for recording and managing the company's financial information.
Maintain the company's general ledger and sub-ledgers, record all company transactions (debits and credits), and perform periodic bank reconciliations.
Produce management accounts, financial statements, projections/forecasts, budget variance reports, or any other reports required by your supervisor or manager.

Finance and accounting expertise: ability to understand, measure, process, interpret and communicate financial and non-financial information about an economic entity
Information technology skills: has in-depth knowledge and experience of using relevant analytical and recording tools, including but not limited to MS Excel and accounting software.
Attention to detail: the ability to record, analyse, and interpret a lot of data without letting important details slip through the cracks or derail the performance of the company.
Analytical skills: able to structure and process information and draw insightful conclusions that lead to decision and action.
Communication and interpersonal skills: good use of the English language and can confidently engage with clients and colleagues via telephone, email, and social media.
Organization and planning skills: ability to prioritize and stay focused, meet deadlines, and manage a range of clients’ information and documents.
