Job Description
Gokada is an on-demand last-mile delivery solution serving Lagos, Nigeria. With over 1,000 drivers, we are the largest last-mile delivery solution in Nigeria. Through technology, Gokada hopes to provide the most affordable and efficient delivery solution in Nigeria.
We are currently looking for a CTO to lead our development team in Lagos and help us achieve our goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop critical features to ensure alignment with the company’s business goals
Keep track of tech trends in the industry and identify competitive advantages
Supervise system infrastructure to ensure maximum functionality and efficiency
Participate in strategy planning and manage technical risk
Build quality assurance and data protection processes
Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors
Help with IT hires: Conduct interviews to check the technical knowledge of candidates
Coach and mentor developers, including determining KPIs for them and monitoring their progress
Break down development tasks
Conduct code reviews
REQUIREMENTS:
More than 10 years of working experience in the IT industry, including experience using Laravel, React JS / React Native and DevOps (with AWS or Linux based systems)
Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role
Up to date with latest technological trends
Excellent communication skills
Leadership and organizational abilities
Strategic thinking
Problem-solving aptitude
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
