Our client, one of the top leaders in the Quick Service Restaurant/Outdoor Catering/Bakery and Events Business in Nigeria, specializes in providing home cooked traditional African meals and
international cuisine in its restaurant chain and outdoor catering services. The candidate will be responsible for all food production for banquets, social functions and the likes. You will develop menus, food purchase specifications, supervise staff, monitor food and labour budgets for the department whilst maintaining the highest professional food quality and sanitation standards.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities
Achieve the overall set target for the restaurant by attaining and/or surpassing the budgeted profitability.
Achieve the overall set target for the restaurant by achieving or reducing the budgeted labor costs.
Achieve the overall set target for the restaurant by handling all catering inquiries and ensuring timely follow up on the same business day.
Help plan a marketing strategy for the unit and ensure visibility on social media whilst growing customer base and revenue.
Manage the food and beverage provision for functions and events
Plan menus in consultation with chef.
Help train permanent and casual staff.
Be aware of global current trends as it relates to outdoor catering and advice company in making strategic decisions to align with these trends whilst ensuring the brand has and identity that stands out in the market.
Organize, lead and motivate the catering team.
Plan staff shifts and work schedules.
Ensure health and safety regulations are strictly observed.
Monitor the quality of the product/service provided and ensure the highest standards are maintained.
Maintain stock levels and order new supplies as required.
Liaise with suppliers and clients
Assist in negotiations with clients, assess their requirements and ensure they are satisfied with the service delivered (in contract catering)
The successful candidate will:
Have significant experience in a Quick Service Restaurant/Outdoor Catering
Company/Food and Beverage sector with a minimum of 7 years of management experience.
Have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Management or related field.
