Requirements:- Team coordinator, improvisation traits and ability to manage people.
- Accessible, outspoken and of very low temperament and high tolerance.
- Good command of English and either Yoruba/Igbo Language.
- Thorough knowledge of the Service and Hospitality Industry
- Basic MS-Word processing skills.
- Intercom, E-mail and Internet culture.
- At least a ND/NCE in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences (Hotel Management best preferred).Responsibilities:- Ensure that Housekeeping Department and Laundry is running smoothly and efficiently by keeping all guest floors/rooms at Hotel Standard always.
- Involved in sorting out of materials (i.e. beddings, pillow case, rugs, curtains, foot mats etc) for washing. Formulating and Maintaining set cleanliness standard.
- Assist the management of Crown City Park Resorts and Hotel in formulation of operational policies and standards for the rooms and implement compliance to the policies and standards among House Keeping and Laundry Staff. Reflecting a positive image of the hotel to guests.
- Intensive knowledge of how to use washing machine, dryer, pressing iron and ability to teach others when required to.
- Supervise the washing, pressing, as well as packing/handling clothes according to their rooms.
- Ensuring the delivery of laundry output to respective rooms.
- Ensuring that all rooms in the hotel are in clean and sellable condition at all times, where otherwise, report to the Maintenance Department promptly on the necessary repairs.
- Guide the House/Chambermaids and Room Stewards and Laundry attendants in thoroughly removing stains and dirt from materials and items as necessary.
- Keeping of adequate records of rooms and items in each, records of room occupancy in relation to items changed or repaired etc.
- Efficient supervision and monitoring of the work of Room Attendants/Stewards, Housemaids/Chambermaids and Housemen assigned to the floors.
- Ensure safety procedure for laundry machine and reporting faults to appropriate Officer such as the maintenance department.
- Reporting all guest rooms that are in order to the front Office for sale and out of order to the Maintenance Dept. or General Manager for necessary repairs and any damages and accidents to the General Manager.
- Must always attend Room Occupants- phone calls and requests as prompt as possible and ensure the satisfactory resolution of their requests and complaints.
- Creating good working condition and team spirit among sub-ordinate staff.
- Allocation of works to people working in Housekeeping Dept. e.g. Room Attendants, Order takers, Linen Attendants and Laundry Attendants.
- Identifying training needs of Housemen, Room/Chamber Stewards, Housemaids and Room Attendants.
