Job Description
Handling maintenance, performance and use of HVAC (AHU + Condensers), allied systems (refrigeration and Air conditioning units) and components.
Maintenance and servicing of refrigeration and air conditioning systems
Monitoring usage parameters such as temperature, relative humidity and pressure of HVAC system
Conducting performance tests with specialized tools and ability to adjust system settings to conform to production demands
Regular Inspection HVAC equipment including
Identifying potential issues and faults with HVAC performance and usage
Making minor repairs in HVAC; service of filters
Repairing or replace defective parts in HVAC units and their controls, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, log switches, damper motors, duct network, relays, filters, controls, belts, compressors, heat exchangers, high limit controls, wiring systems, control panels, pressure controls, safety valves and automatic gas valves.
Maintain equipment in effective and safe working condition; maintain parts and tool inventory.
Inspect HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety
Perform necessary repairs and routine maintenance
Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources
Installing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning systems and equipment.
Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
Job Qualifications / Requirements
Proficient with manual and power tools
1+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and pressure.
Knowledge of air conditioning units and refrigerators
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Minimum of OND in relevant field
Knowledge of HVAC (AHU and Condenser), ducting systems and pressurization principles and practices
Skilled in carrying out the methods to check the effectiveness of cooling and pressure generation
Skilled in handling the control parameters and parameter range for various section in the plant
Skilled in the methods to control temperature, humidity and pressure in a pharma cGMP plant
Basic knowledge of recording faults and maintaining pressure in HVAC systems
Experience in Electrical Installation and Repair will be an added advantage.
