Job Description
· Execute an efficient and effective audit approach as defined by Thrive Agric management and ensure that all assigned work is completed according to schedule and within the establish budget parameters.
· Establish effective business relationships within the company and assist management in the understanding and adaptation of internal control principles.
· Conduct annual audit risk assessment
· Develop a flexible annual audit plan to be approved by management
· Participate in fraud related investigations
· Plan, execute and complete audit fieldwork according to established schedule
· Plan, implement and monitor annual budgetary resources for internal audit
· Conduct all management projects in accordance with the mandate provided by management.
· Recommend and monitor the of implementation internal control activities to address exposures identified in audit engagements.
· Generate periodic report of audit engagement activities to the managing director and the executive leadership team.
· Ensure that operational policies and procedures guiding all company activities exist.
· Recommend control activities, policies and cost control initiatives to management.
· Participate in annual external audit engagements.
· Develop a thorough understanding and knowledge base of company’s operations. Be a team player and embrace the company’s compliance principles as a key component of audit process.
· Maintain a current knowledge base of audit industry practices and to ensure best practices are always considered.
· Perform all assigned audit duties in manner that reflects the highest professional standards and complies with the guidelines of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
· Develop and ensure compliance with all health, safety and environment (HSE) regulations and policies.
· Ensure that adequate and effective risk assessments are undertaken and regularly reviewed.
