Laundry Attendant

Requirements:- Team player, improvisation traits and ability to manage people.
- Accessible, outspoken and of very low temperament and high tolerance.
- Good command of English and either Yoruba/Igbo Language.
- Knowledge of the Service and Hospitality Industry
- Thorough knowledge of different clothing materials, intercom usage, ability to read and write.
- At least a SSCE/WASSCE O-level and ability to operate basic washing machinesResponsibilities:- Sorting out of linen/cotton/wool materials e.g. those for dry cleaning and those for washing, separating white from coloured before washing.
- Know fully how to use Washing Machine, Dryer, Pressing Iron and other Laundry equipment very well.
- Ensures all materials from rooms (i.e. beddings, pillow clothes etc.) are properly washed, pressed and neatly packed/handled according to their rooms.
- Ensures Delivering laundry to rooms.
- See to it that stained materials are properly cleaned and the stains removed effectively.
- Ensure safety procedure for laundry machines and reporting faults to appropriate Officer such as the maintenance personnel.
- Reporting any damages and accidents in the laundry to the Housekeeper/Maintenance or General Manager.
- Manage soaps, detergents etc. issued to the laundry judiciously.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Chambermaids/room stewards to deliver at all times, clean and properly handled beddings clothes, duvets etc. to all the rooms.
- Comply with all crown City laid down procedures for Laundry operations.
