Legal Officer

Job Summary
The legal officer will advise the business on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters; structuring, drafting and negotiating transactions related to real estate sector. The incumbent will work directly with the management team, providing day-to-day advice, resolving issues that arise in existing relationships and handling pre litigation and litigation disputes.

Job Description
Ensuring compliance of laws and regulations as related to real estate development
Representing the company in all legal matters
Negotiating contracts on behalf of the company
Documenting and keeping all the legal documents securely
Representing the company in purchase and sale of properties
Overseeing all the legal implications of new projects
Requirements:
Five years’ minimum work experience in a law firm or in house (preferably a real estate company)
Broad knowledge of property and commercial law
Innovative, progressive and detail oriented
Ability to think strategically and creatively
An ability to provide proactive advice and great legal judgement
Impressive negation and drafting skills
Reliable legal judgment with an appreciation of legal risk and an ability to communicate to all levels of the business
