Job Summary:
The photography coordinator will work with the photo team (manager & director of retail & digital photography) on all photo shoots for The Children’s Place & Gymboree. This position will play a role in pre-photo shoot planning and post photo shoot deliverables. This position requires polished photoshop & layout skills along with a clean & refined graphic design aesthetic—you will assist the photo team with shot list prep, casting, contact sheets & placing assets in presentation decks that support both retail & digital.
Responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities:
• Assist manager of retail & digital photography with photo shoot prep & deliverables for all photo shoots
• Review seasonal retail & digital schematics to identify & cross reference all photography needs
• Review seasonal creative decks to absorb seasonal creative direction & place swipe into shot list for all photo shoots
• Assist manager of retail & digital photography to initiate casting & to cross reference & indicate digital needs
on the shot list
• Updating casting archive, headshots, sizing & assisting the casting director with adding casting to all retail
& digital shot lists
• Assist with prep, layout, distribution & updating contact sheets for retail & digital photo shoots
• Track, organize & prep multi-shot images before, during & after photo shoots
• Quickly comp together photo selects per direction of Photo Team
• Design PLP/PDPpresentation contact sheets & decks, track presentation feedback & manage updates for follow-up presentations
• Create contact sheet to deliver approved digital photography/layouts to retouching & update traffic manager
• Put together post shoot photoshoot decks organized by delivery dates, department, and category to distribute
to digital team for ease of finding approved imagery
• Work with retouching to create system for adding metadata to imagery in order to make assets searchable
on the DAM system
• Collaborate with in-store marketing team & store visual team with building the mock store windows
& interior for seasonal walkthroughs. This includes printing photography specific signage & posters to oversize
printers, trimming & installing into windows & interior spaces
• Calendarize the photo team’s shoot calendar, castings, presentations, retouching reviews & deliverable dates
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Art Direction, Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related field relevant to position.
2 - 4 years of experience in photography based graphic design, retail/digital marketing, retail or agencyexperience preferred.
2 - 4 years of hands-on photo retouching for presentation.
Demonstrated track record of embracing new digital photo marketing technologies and techniquesto drive growth and brand differentiation.
Skills and Behaviors:

Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge, After Effects & XD.
