Job Description
Place order and monitor shipment from ordering to warehouse
Devising and using fruitful procurement and sourcing strategies
Discovering profitable suppliers and initiate procurement partnerships
Negotiating with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
Maintenance of vendor database
Vendor registration
Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
Ensure security of all stock items
Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
Prepare annual budget
Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
Liaise with transport companies
Requirements
BSc/HND degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
Minimum of 3 years experience with procurement and warehouse management software and databases
Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Good negotiations and networking
Leadership skills and ability manage staff
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Expert knowledge in procurement or logistics processes
Very Good MS-office skills (emphasis on excel)
