Requirements:Bachelors degree in any of Social Sciences, Physical Sciences or any Development related field
At least Five (5) years of experience with community-based programs focused on the needs of children, adolescents and households.
Experience implementing PEPFAR-funded social protection or health programming.
Fully conversant on best practices in HIV prevention, impact mitigation and OVC programing.
Experience with community-based HIV testing, counseling, support and referral services
Demonstrated management skills, strategic vision, leadership qualities, professional reputation, ability to create synergies where applicable,
Interpersonal skills, and written and oral presentation skills to fulfill the diverse technical and managerial requirements.
Proven leadership and inter-personal skills for effective team work; as well as the ability to work independently on a frequent basis, taking initiative, managing a variety of activities concurrently, and delivering outputs on schedule.
Demonstrated success implementing programming among vulnerable groups with an emphasis on children and adolescents.
Responsibilities:Lead the technical design and implementation of WOCHAD iCARES OVC program approach in line with project strategies and timeline, and continuously evaluate project progress towards achieving expected results.
Identify existing community-based support services for OVC and facilitate the development of an effective referral network and services to ensure continuum of care.
Ensure the successful implementation of the project including the timely completion of work plans, accurate reports, and other mandated deliverables.
Work effectively with government and communities as well as transfer knowledge to diverse audiences through workshops, training and meetings using participatory methods and adult learning principles.
