Summary
Based out of First Financial Credit Union's headquarters, presently in West Covina, the Real Estate Lending Supervisor is responsible for helping the Real Estate Lending Manager ensure the Loan Processors are producing efficiently to reach closing goals for FFCU members. This person will work closely with staff to meet close of escrow dates for the teams they support, ensure timely delivery of title, appraisal, payoffs, and all verifications. This is a leadership role, where you will help facilitate communications between the Mortgage operations staff, internal departments and vendors. Please note, FFCU will be moving its headquarters to Pasadena in the near future.
Essential Duties
Supervises and monitors performance of subordinate with focus on quality, accuracy, and accountability in all areas of responsibility. Takes corrective action, council, train and communicate as necessary when departmental objectives are not being attained.
Performs supervisory duties including interviewing applicants for employment, reviewing progress of assignments. Under the supervision of the Real Estate Lending Manager establish goals and evaluate performances of subordinate employees.
Make decisions on real estate and home equity loans exercising judgment based upon lending experience, procedures, guidelines, and identify member benefit.
Answer inquiries from branches, members and secondary market investors concerning loan programs and services.
Make recommendations on loans with compensating factors to the Real Estate Lending Manager or Senior Vice President of Lending on loans that exceed individual approved lending limits.
Motivate, train, and develop subordinates.
Provide training to department and branch staff on real estate related products and procedures.
Recommend changes to lending policies, guidelines, and procedures to Real Estate Lending Manager, in order that an efficient, well-organized operation is maintained.
Produce and manage a real estate loan pipeline report and other statistical reports as requested by the Real Estate Lending Manager and or other Senior Management personnel.
Maintain required records on loan application received. Produce and submit HMDA reports to the Federal Government on an annual basis, within the legally required timeframe.
Attend industry/professional seminars and training to develop and maintain skill and product knowledge.
Performs all duties in compliance with laws, regulations, Credit Union policies and procedures.
