Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Gathering and evaluating user requirements
· You will be responsible for ensuring that our products are designed with jaw-dropping user-interfaces, and that they incorporate best-in-class user experience design
· Creating wireframes and mockups to communicate scenarios and options
· Illustrate design ideas using story boards, user flows, sitemaps
· Plan and conduct exploratory user research and effective usability tests and distill actionable insights.
· Function within either agile or waterfall work streams as needed.
· Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
· Build page navigation buttons and search fields
· Prototyping to bring concepts to life so that stakeholders can get a realistic sense of how applications should look and behave.
· Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
· Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
· Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
· Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
· You will convert business requirements into pixel perfect designs; bringing them to life with a variety of usability techniques
· You will create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps for mobile and web platforms
· You will present and defend designs and deliverables to peers and executives
· You will conduct layout adjustments, user research and evaluate user feedback
· You will establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
· You will design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant
· Assisting with and/or conduct usability testing and user interviews
Qualifications
· Minimum Qualification BSc in Design, Computer Science, Fine and Applied Arts or relevant degree
· Minimum of 2 to 4 years’ experience
Technical Requirements
· Proven work experience as a UX Designer or similar role
· A strong portfolio/case studies that communicates your approach to problem solving
· An excellent knowledge of UX tools, techniques and methodologies, knowing what techniques to apply and when
· Knowledge of wireframe tools
· Ability to review and audit digital application to identify areas of improvement, with accompanying write-ups and recommendations
· Ability to understand complex project details and be able to communicate them simply to others
· Extensive experience of designing responsive websites
· Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
· Good knowledge of HTML/ CSS, JavaScript
· Proficiency in frameworks for rapid prototyping
· Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator, Figma and Photoshop
· Proficiency in any of Adobe XD, Origami, Visio, Axure, Sketch, Omnigraffle, Balsamiq, Zeplin, Sketch or other visual design and prototyping tools or equivalent
· Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
· The ability to present your designs and sell your solutions
