Job Profile
As the Vice President, Finance, you will act as Head of Finance and strategic business partner to senior
executive leadership team and provide oversight, leadership and/or support to several key functions
including financial planning and analysis, financial accounting, treasury and risk management, strategic
financial planning, regulatory compliance, and investor relations.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide strategic financial and business insights to the CEO.
Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization with regard to long-term
operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.
Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide insight and recommendations to both
short-term and long-term growth plans of the organization.
Analyze the company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance
with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc report to senior management.
Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly
profit and loss by the Product segments, forecast vs. budget by product segments and department and weekly cash flow.
Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches and/or new
service offerings.
Review and ensure the application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for the Senior Level team.
Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all local, state and federal tax returns.
Collaborate with other departments and teams to stay in line with budgeting, and drive business
outcomes and strategy.
Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies.
Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual budgets.
Oversee preparation of client bills, invoices and business model generation for all products and services.
Review and innovate financial models for cost management and revenue generation.
Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation.
Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems.
Proactively looking for cost-saving strategies.
Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate
reports for tracking.
Manage and continually improve the performance outcome of your division and diligently
measure the individual performance of each team member with a view to categorize them in one
of four categories - Extraordinary Performer, High Performer, Performer, Needs Improvement -
and taking decisive and appropriate actions as necessary.
Build and maintain the company's Culture within the finance team ensuring that our firm’s core values are evident in every fabric of the department.

You’d be a good fit if you possess:
BSc./ MSc. in Accounting, Finance or Business. ACCA, ACA and/or MBA required.
Minimum 7+ years of managerial accounting and financial management experience.
Experience working in a growing tech start-up environment strongly preferred.
An international work experience or education is an added advantage
5+ or more years of experience managing people, and experience leading teams and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss,
balance sheet and cash flow management and general finance and budgeting.
Experience with corporate governance and financial consulting.
Proven negotiation skills.
Experience with budget management, public accounting, and cash flow.
Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions.
Ability to inspire confidence and create trust.
Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate.
Proven capacity in functioning in a leadership role
Proven experience in generating insights, data gathering and business/industry analysis
Strong business knowledge with the ability to develop and execute business strategy and plans
Strong people, interpersonal and relationship skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders
Knowledge and experience in developing, implementing and using standardized methodologies, frameworks, SOPs, templates, etc for the achievement of team objectives.
Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to simplify complex messaging through written, verbal or visual mechanisms.
Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
Attention to detail.
Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues.
Ability to deal with confidential or sensitive information in a discreet and professional manner.
