Company Description Our client is a waste collection and recycling company. We seek a reliable and dedicated Waste Truck Driver to join their team. The ideal candidate will operate waste collection trucks to ensure the safe and efficient collection and transportation of waste and recyclables from residential and commercial areas.
Job Description
Safely operate waste collection vehicles and ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
Collect waste and recyclables from assigned routes in a timely manner.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and operational readiness.
Report any mechanical issues or required vehicle maintenance to management.
Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during waste collection to protect yourself and the public.
Interact positively with customers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have regarding waste collection services.
Complete required documentation, including driver logs and collection reports, accurately.
Participate in training and safety meetings as required.
Qualifications
Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Familiarity with local waste collection routes and regulations is a plus.
Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment safely.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically fit to perform the manual duties associated with the job.
Working Conditions:
May be required to work early mornings, evenings, or overtime as needed.
Exposure to various weather conditions while working outdoors.
Physically demanding work, including lifting and moving heavy waste containers.
