Rockler is seeking an experienced front end developer to implement and support software code for our Magento Enterprise e-commerce platform, triage support requests, and for other related initiatives. Your high standards and attention to detail will help us maintain 24/7 e-commerce uptime and enhance the experience for customers (internal and external). You will report directly to the Ecommerce Manager and be part of our E-Commerce Marketing team.

DUTIES:
Help modify and enhance Rockler's flagship responsive-design shopping site.
Respond to internal business requests by taking designs from our creative department and coding for web sites and email templates.
Write code using Magento's content management system that follows best practices, includes clarifying comments, is W3C Standards and WCAG 2.0 compliant, and is cross-browser compatible.
Communicate status of projects clearly to Ecommerce Manager and adhere to timelines and statement of work.
Perform level-one support for customer service and internal-user issues. Triage issues and either handle them directly or pass them to the appropriate party as appropriate.
Participate in the on-call rotation to cover off-hours support.
Other duties as required.
Attendance is an essential function of this position and we rely on all our employees to be at work during their scheduled shift.
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.A. in computer-related field, associate degree in programming or equivalent experience and training.
1-2 years experience developing html code for streamlined responsive design.
Comfortable developing with HTML, CSS, bootstrap framework, and JavaScript.
Understanding of best practices in image formats for the web.
Experience using flat files, such as TXT, CSV, XML, etc.
Take a structured, standards-based approach to application design and coding. Clearly comments and formats code for ease of future editing.
Good communication skills and ability to work with internal and external customers and vendors.
A self-starter with the ability to work independently when necessary.
Keeps up to date on latest web development features, standards, and best practices.
Email design standards is a strong plus.
Experience developing in php or ColdFusion is a plus.
Experience with e-commerce sites using Magento CMS is a strong plus.
