Our missionis to grow global online commerce for the world’s small businesses by removing the barriers to online trading for hundreds of millions of independent retailers and their suppliers across the world’s supply chains. Despite the growth in e-commerce, less than 3% of B2B trading is made online, and yet, FMCG is Largest Product Category in the world - this is a $30tn business in emerging markets with over 1 million manufacturers, 20m distributors and wholesalers and finally over 500m independent retailers, who are the vital route to market serving over 7bn people every day.

When we ask independent retailers why they don’t trade online with FMCG brands, “we don’t know where to even start” is one of the top reasons we hear. That’s becauseselling, buying, and paying across B2B supply chains is long, complicated, and fragmented; Payments and purchasing are deeply manual, independent retailers have limited visibility on new products and sales opportunities, and FMCG’s (particularly up and coming brands) find it very difficult to reach new retailers and distributors and set up a rapid go to market. Due to antiquated payments networks, and the high cost of payment processing, over 19tn of trade payments are made offline, adding an enormous burden to online trading,with a 500m+ stores that function every day as powerful outlets for consumer brands, directly influence >80% of local consumer buying behaviour but they are often the least technically equipped with data, pricing, or the latest inventory.

The rapidly growing number of new brands, the rise of the middle-class consumer, and the growth in entrepreneurship has driven the need for a new kind of commerce dynamic, accessing key payment and sales points to enable FMCG’S, Distributors and sellers to trade smarter. So we built anOpen Commerce Platformthat enables the sale and distribution of FMCG products to be made much simpler. Products should be in front of sellers fast, in real-time, through an immersive commerce experience, with trade buyers and sellers able to see live commerce opportunities and pricing.We have built a digital ecosystem that is specifically designed to unlock the full value of the distribution network, providing real-time visibility for order and inventory management. Our innovative platform provides brands and distributors with deep data insights into buyer trends and behaviour and helps identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products.

What you will be doing:

Build and strengthen relationships with RedCloud’s partners
Lead the development of partnership strategies that align with product and business goals and create the partner management framework to implement and manage these strategies
Source, structure, and negotiate deals with new and existing partners in pursuit of product and business objectives
Understand our partners’ strategic priorities, challenges, and internal roadmaps; regularly communicate insights and strategic recommendations to stakeholders
Track, analyse, influence, and communicate key metrics to support ongoing partnership management and identify new opportunities to fill product gaps or create net new business opportunities that deliver value to our users
Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Compliance, Legal, Engineering, Marketing) to identify and implement growth opportunities

Design and implement strategies and processes that will enable us to scale our product offering through partnerships and increase our velocity as a team

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Head of Partnerships for Nigeria will be focussed on developing, nurturing and managing relationships across the payments and Financial Services industry, 3rd party logistics and Telco Organisations across Nigeria as well as identifying new partners that enable RedCloud’s product strategy and deliver new capabilities to our users. Our team executes on high-impact, cross-functional initiatives across new products, geographic expansion, user advocacy, and policy.

We are looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial individual with strong product instincts and experience working with cross-functional teams to manage and grow our omni channel ecosystem. The Head of Partnerships will play an integral role in supporting RedCloud’s strategic partner relationships, managing ongoing initiatives, identifying new opportunities, and leading cross-functional teams to evaluate and execute on product and business initiatives.

What you should have:

5+ years of partner management experience, managing partnerships with fintech, consumer technology, B2B, or equivalent strategic, complex partners or 5+ years of other highly relevant experience
Strong agency, can handle ambiguity in a fast-moving organization, and thrives on a high level of autonomy and responsibility
Strong communication skills, in both verbal and written form, and ability to influence stakeholders across a wide variety of functions
Technical acumen, an ability to understand our product portfolio and strategy and use this understanding to define requirements with partners and evaluate new partnership opportunities
Experience executing partnership strategies to build innovative product experiences
Ability to make data-driven decisions and translate identified opportunities into actionable changes.
You feel comfortable informing and evaluating technical engineering discussions.
Excited and curious about being involved in payments and the prospect of delivering high-quality entertainment throughout the world
Possessing a high level of intellectual curiosity, is focused on generating results, and exhibits the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics.
Motivated, disciplined, self-driven, and able to work autonomously.
