Key Responsibilities
Organizational:
Prepare business development plans in coordination with the Marketing officer and the Partners to meet targets.
Work collaboratively across all departments of the organization to help improve the management of a business process.
Provide guidance on what to improve through the systematic identification of key-value streams and processes.
Design data frameworks that will improve analysis and reporting capabilities.
Monitor performance and quality control plan to identify improvements.
Reporting:
Frequently update the company business process document which is available to the Managing Partner and all relevant stakeholders within the company
Functional:
Initiate contact and maintain effective relationships with a selected number of donors, stakeholders, partners, and key networks in order to jointly explore new business opportunities.
Conduct early intelligence making use of relevant partners, local networks and Alumni community in relation to institutional donors’ upcoming calls for proposals.
Develop in-depth knowledge about business development practices, marketing activities, prospective clients and sector trends.
Design business processes (To-be) and manage any subsequent changes to them
Identify, document and analyse business rules that govern the implementation of business processes
Collate feedback on process performance. The collected data forms the basis of future process improvement projects
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of processes to ensure consistent value delivery
Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Implement data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

Skills
University degree (bachelors or masters) in a Business related field; additional education in business (and in particular market research, sales, planning) is a plus.
At least 3 years’ experience in developing the business of a similar or relevant organization is essential.
Computer software application skills, in particular, in-depth knowledge of MS Office Suite. Knowledge of a CRM system is a plus.
