Responsibilities:Collect, verify and analyze thoroughly newsworthy informationAssemble findings into a well designed storyWrite and deliver news stories with the reader's perspective in mindReceive assignments or investigate news leads/tipsAbide by journalism's ethics and codesContact, interview and research sourcesMaintain notes and audio recordingsCollaborate with team members on public relation activitiesStay up-to-date with the latest current events in the "beat" by studying papers, attending events etc.Requirements:Proven working experience as a ReporterPortfolio of published articles or newscastsComputer proficiency (MS Office, digital editing, web search, databases)Excellent communication, lobbying and active listening skills
