Credit Risk Analyst

Responsibilities:Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits.Interview applicants todetermine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans.Determine all applicable ratiosand metrics and set up debt payment plans.Communicate with clients eitherto request or to provide information.Justify decisions(approvals/rejections) and report on them.Complete loan contracts andcounsel clients on policies and restrictions.Update job knowledge on typesof loans and other financial services.Maintain and update accountrecords.Assess customer needs, exploreall options, and introduce different types of loans.Develop referral networks,suggest alternate channels and cross-sell products and services to accomplishquotas.Go the "extra mile" to buildtrust relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction throughout the underwriting process.Operate in compliance with lawsand regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelinesCompliance:Corporate policiesand Procedures.Use ofapproved electronic documents.Accesspermissions and risk management policies set by the management.Statutory,regulatory, and legal requirements associated with duties.Failure tocomply may lead to disciplinary actions including termination.Risk and OpportunitiesIdentifyRisks and provide treatment plans for them.Seekfor and identify opportunities that can be exploited.GeneralTheEmployee may also be required to perform duties not directly related to theirarea of experience or expertise, in which case proper instruction will beprovidedEnsurethat the highest ethical standards are maintained in all activitiesConducthimself in a dignified and respectful manner that reflects well on the Employerand sets an example for other employees.Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:Intermediate use of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word PowerPointFamiliarity with computers and banking applications/software.Solid understanding of direct/indirect lending products and practicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Customer satisfaction orientation and sales competencies.Ability to work in a goal-oriented environment.Experience:BSc degree in finance, economics, or a related field.5 years' experience in a Loan company.Proven working experience as a Loan Officer will be an added advantage
