Job Description
The Arewa Economic Club is set up as a networking forum and work space for like-minded individuals and companies with interests in social and economic regeneration of Northern Nigeria. We also provide support and space facilities for entrepreneurs to test their business ideas, with special discounts for club members. Our driving force is to champion the conception and implementation of a Recovery Plan for Northern Nigeria. Your role is to identify and help us engage with new clients, where we feel there is a great fit and they will value our services. We are based in Wuse II in the heart of Abuja, FCT. This is a varied, interesting role that will suite an energetic team player that has a can-do attitude and possess high level self-motivation and a hunger to learn and succeed.
Role & responsibilities:
Research potential new clients in relevant sectors and devise a plan of action to recruit them into a premium or higher membership class
Lead a small team of agile and entrepreneurial colleagues towards achieving club's objectives
Identify and approach senior decision makers within client organisations with membership facilities offers
Build the pipeline of qualified leads for the club through channels such as LinkedIn, email, existing network of contacts, campaigns, phone, social media and events
Arrange appointments with potential clients for the CEO/senior managers and follow up throughout the process
Achieve the monthly/quarterly lead generation and recruitment targets set
Prepare briefing notes for CEO/senior managers before member pitch meetings
Maintain a sales and marketing dashboard on key metrics and report weekly on KPIs
Grow and Manage our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database
Prepare case studies, credentials, presentations, PR communications and marketing
Contribute to preparation and lead on delivery of membership recruitment pitches
Support in organising club and client led events
Attend relevant networking/PR events
