Responsibilities:Policies and Procedures Implementation:Develop, supervise and implement all relevant policies, processes, standardoperating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in acontrolled and consistent mannerPeopleManagement:Supervisethe work of the accounting team, ensure compliance with policies and providedirect and indirect feedback to ensure that work is carried out in an efficientway.CareerDevelopment:Adviseteam members on their performance within the accounting department and on theircareer progression prospects within the department.EffectiveEmployee Relations:Investigateand resolve workplace issues, ensuring the overall wellbeing of employees andproviding a safe work environment free from discrimination and harassment.ContinuousImprovement:Contributeto the identification of gaps in the department for continuous improvement.Job-Specific Accountabilities:Manage,supervise and provide guidance to employees within the finance and accounting department.Conduct all necessarytraining to keep the accounting team's skills and knowledge up to date.Plan, control and implementthe annual budgeting process.Supervise the preparation ofprofit and cash flow forecasts, analyses and reports.Supervise the preparation ofquarterly management and year-end accounts.Prepare monthly/quarterlymanagement reports and accounts ensuring they are produced on a timely basis(include KPI reports, budget, variance analysis, statistical data, and trends)Coordinate between thedifferent sections within the department to complete assigned accounting taskswithin deadlines.Generate financial reports.Analyze financialdiscrepancies and recommend effective solutions.Monitor expenditures, analyzerevenues and determine budget variances.Assist in auditing activitiesby providing the necessary information.Ensure that all necessarydocuments are always requested, collected and compiled in a timely manner.Monitor financialtransactions and ensures compliance with the company's policies and procedures.Maintain compliance with allinternational and local regulations.Maintain highly organized andupdated files.Attend training regardingaccounting standards and bookkeeping and provides training to more junior accountantsthrough conferences, seminars, and workshops.Ensure all accounting tasksand transactions are completed in a timely manner.Requirements:Bachelordegree in Accounting, Banking & Finance or in any relevant fieldM.Sc./MBA,Chartered Accountant (ACA or ACCA) or any other relevant professionalcertification is an added advantageAtleast 8 years of experience in financial management and accountingCandidatemust be between 35 - 45 years.Location:Ogere, Ogun stateApplication:Qualified and interested applicantsshould send CVs usingH-ACCTS-OGNas subject.
