QUALIFICATION: A first degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and related disciplines (Computer Engineering, Computer with Economics/ Mathematics, Management Information Systems, and Electrical/Electronics Engineering) is required
A post graduate degree in any related field is an added advantage
PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP: Membership of any of the following professional bodies is an added advantage: NCS, CPN, NIM, PMI or ISACA
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS: Possession of any of the following certifications is required: ITIL Manager; CITP Certified Information Technology Professional (AICPA), Microsoft SQL Server Certification, MCSA Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Oracle WebLogic Server 11g System Administrator Sun Certified System Administrator
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Minimum of 12 years working experience in IT, of which at least 4 years should be at senior management level. Experience in a business relationship function is required
Deep knowledge of the respective directorate and their processes
Adequate knowledge of Contract management, Budget and cost management and Quality control
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implementation of Unit's mandate
Ensures the implementation of the Unit’s work plan.
Ensures timely rendition of Unit’s deliverables.
Manages the sub-unit’s performance.
Business relationship management
Develops strong relationship with business stakeholders including clear understanding of needs and expectations.
Leads IT business relationship management and ensure high level of customer satisfaction across all directorates.
Brings IT enabled innovation to the business.
Review performance of services and suggests improvement.
Advocates for the end-users to ensure they receive high-quality and timely service and support from the IT organization.
Identifies, plans, and leads initiatives to continuously improves the efficiency and effectiveness of IT Business Relationship Management services and operations.
Focuses on business improvement and business processes, as well as delivering appropriate technology.
Demand management
Coordinates demand management, portfolio prioritization and customer service management across the NIRSAL MFB
Provides advice on prioritization of business IT demand.
Articulates business ideas, suggestions and problems in Technology terms and develop business cases to convert them into deliverable solutions.
Leadership and management
Provides leadership and direction for the Unit.
Provides oversight and management for Unit’s budget and general administration.
Provides mentoring and coaching for the staff of the Unit.
