Junior Accountant

JOB TITLE/ POSITION: ACCOUNTANTDEPARTMENT: FINANCE DEPARTMENTLOCATION: LAGOS (IBADAN)Global Profilers is a Recruitment & HR Services firm specialized in recruitment in Africa; we are currently looking for a Junior Accountant for our client who runs one of the fastest growing and leading Telecommunication brand.SUMMARY§ Our client in a telecommunication industry is hiring for the role of a junior accountant. The ideal candidate would be responsible to collaborate with Accountants, Finance Leads and other team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks.§ The successful candidate will be largely responsible for managing daily accounting tasks for the business while ensuring alignment of expectations with other team members and Line Manager.RESPONSIBILITIESAssistant Manager – Accountant & Business Analyst, Finance Department would have the following responsibilities:§ Process accounts payable and receivable§ Utilize database software to organize financial account information§ Handle account inquiries from internal and external sources§ Make regular follow up with Customer Care Department to contact with clients to ensure payment§ Perform internal audits on financial activities as necessary§ Review both incoming and outgoing invoices§ Generate financial reports for review regulatory authorities§ Create and Validate Purchase Orders to be issued to Vendors on request of Project Management Department§ Create Customer wise Profit & Loss Account§ Computation, Filling and Remittance of Taxes such as: VAT, WHT, PAYE§ Bank Reconciliation§ Inventory Accounting & Verification§ Payroll ComputationSKILLS REQUIRED:Strong organizational skillsSelf-motivated and detail-orientedQuick to collaborate and coordinate with team members when necessaryPrior experience working with financial accountsStrong math and critical reasoning skillsVendor ManagementIntegrity & HonestyTeam PlayerInterpersonal SkillsResourcefulness & Result Oriented approachCustomer Oriented Approach§ Strong Oral & Written CommunicationREQUIREMENT:§ Degree in business administration or account preferred§ A Certified Public Accountant title is preferred§ Familiarity with productivity tools, including Microsoft Office Suite§ Experience using accounting software, such as FreshBooks and Tally§ Minimum of 1 - 5 years of experienceRENUMERATION: N100,000 - N120,000 (Monthly Gross).
