Lab Technician (Bayelsa)

Job Title: Lab TechnicianLocation: BayelsaIndustry: Construction You will be responsible for conducting various construction material tests on-site to ensure they comply with project specifications and industry standards. You will play a vital role in supporting quality control and contributing to the success of construction projects.Responsibilities:· Collect, prepare, and test soil, asphalt, and concrete samples according to FDD (Foundation Design Data) and relevant construction standards.· Perform field tests to assess material properties such as permeability and strength.· Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing procedures and results.· Input test data into computer systems and generate reports.· Assist with the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.· Maintain a clean and safe work environment according to laboratory safety protocols.· May perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications· BSc or HND in Civil Engineering, Geography, Geology, Soil Science or relevant discipline· Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a construction laboratory setting.· Proven experience in conducting soil, asphalt, and concrete testing.· Strong understanding of FDD (Foundation Design Data) and relevant construction codes and standards.· Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.· Proficient in the use of computers and laboratory software.
