Job Summary
We are searching for a tenacious, perceptive Legal Associate to assist with managing a diverse portfolio of cases. The Associate Attorney’s responsibilities include meeting with clients to ascertain their needs, choosing the most appropriate course of action, and representing clients’ interests at meetings and in court. During the process, you will be required to collaborate with and report to the Attorney in charge of each case. To be successful as a Legal Associate, you should demonstrate outstanding research skills. Ultimately, a top-notch Legal Associate will exhibit at least some familiarity with all subspecialties of their field and will utilize this knowledge to successfully conclude cases, as needed.

REPORT TO:
Head, Legal
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Management of all litigation and dispute resolution files in the firm as
a member of the litigation & dispute resolution team.
· Conduct legal research; develop litigation strategies, draft court
processes and resolution of disputes.
· Structure, negotiate and draft agreements
· Conduct due diligence and draft agreements on property transactions
· Conducting legal research, fact-gathering and analysis on legal issues as
maybe assigned by senior associates or partners
· Conducting or attending meetings on behalf of the firm or clients
· Maintain proper, effective and prompt court appearances
· Developing articles on complex legal issues
REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES:

· Ability to plan, schedule and coordinate effectively
· Minimum of University degree in law, Call to Bar Certification and membership of the Nigerian Bar
· LL.M as an added advantage

· Minimum of Four (4) years working experience with a strong litigation bias

LOCATION:

PAY:
N 120,000 – N 150,000.
