Requirements:- Bachelor?s Degree in Law. - A minimum of 2 years working experience
- Prior experience in the real estate industry required
- Experienced with using spread sheets and making presentations
- Skilled in the technicalities of real estate law
- Skilled Sales Agreements and Joint Venture Documentations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities:- Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation and advise the management on changes to the laws affecting the real estate industry.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure timely compliance with statutory regulations
- Managing the process for obtaining Property Title Document
- Management of debt recovery
- In cases of litigation, investigate the cause of the litigation, collect evidence and prepare all the groundwork for the case.
- Ensure that all licenses, agreements, and permits of the company are valid and current.
- Implement processes aimed at protecting the organization from litigations.
- Ensure all legal documentation required for every project and transaction is properly done and in a timely fashion.
- Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding the company?s business decisions and operations.
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsels, public authority e.t.c) creating relations of trust.
- Drafting agreements and other legal documents
- Be the first point of contact on all company legal matters
- Ensuring deed of restrictions are properly prepared and executed
- Handling the process for obtaining search reports
