Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:Oversee the accuracy of financial data entry and record-keeping.Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Reconcile bank statements and other accounts.Depreciation calculation.Calculation of actual profitability and return on inventoryMonitor any discrepancies in payment and record any returns.Organize a financial filing system that is easily accessible.Prepare accounting reports to be presented to senior management monthly.Track all payments made for tax preparation.Ensure that all clients receive their refundable deposit on time.Preparation of the company's monthly and yearly budget.Assist with Inventory Management.Managing daily accounting tasks.Update accounts receivable.Update accounts payable.Review expenses.Remit all VAT payments.Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to management.Develop and implement accounting procedures and controls.Manage and mentor junior accounting staff.Assist with external audit.Requirements:Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.More than 3 years of experience as an accountant.Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Proficient in accounting software, Zohobooks.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Location:Ogba, LagosRemuneration: NGN150,000 - 200,000Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Be part of a growing and successful company.Make a real impact on the financial health of the organizationWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
