Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities:A general understanding of the real estate market in order toprovide advice on any market trends that will affect the success of UPDC'sprojects.Drawing up project/design briefs which take into considerationkey technical and financial criteria (design, lighting, ventilation, ease ofconstruction, circulation, zoning and planning requirements, constructionspecifications, efficiency ratios).Identifying and documenting internal/external client and projectobjectives throughout the life of the development while ensuring time, cost andquality objectives are articulated and achieved.Managing the consultant tender and selection process. Reviewingcontracts and other documents relevant to the appointment of all consultants.Managing teams of professionals - Architects, ServicesEngineers, Structural Engineers and Quantity SurveyorsConduct discussions with "Design/Build" Contractor (called"Contractor") and ensure that all consultant timelines and goals arearticulated and achieved.Managing the design development and co-ordination process toensure the project technical information is adequate for tender. Scheduling andchairing all design/co ordination meetings.Taking and keeping minutes on all development and projectrelated meetings.Ensuring all project documents are up to date and properly filedin UPDC's database.Advising on the procurement options available and makerecommendation as required.Managing the contractor tender and appointment process, ensuringthat all relevant contract terms and conditions are incorporated. Ensuring thatall bonds and insurances required are obtained from all relevant parties.Liaising with suppliers and manufactures where required.Requirements:Academic qualification of MBA/MSC 10 years of working experience
