Storekeeper

Responsibilities:Receive incoming shipments of construction materials and verify quantities against purchase orders.Inspect materials for damage or defects and report discrepancies to the appropriate personnelsStore materials in designated locations within the warehouse or storage area.Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and perform regular stock checks.Prepare materials for distribution to construction sites according to project requirements.Coordinate with purchasing and procurement departments to ensure timely replenishment of stock.Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse or storage area.Handle inquiries and requests from internal departments and external vendors regarding inventory.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience working as a storekeeper or in a similar role within the construction industry preferred.Knowledge of construction materials and their storage requirements.Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and operate material handling equipment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Flexibility to work overtime or on weekends as needed.
