Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of DRUPP Kwara. Subsequently reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (or eventually growing to become the COO), the position is ultimately responsible for ensuring the success of DRUPP Kwara’s operations and positioning the organization for growth and success.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
? In collaboration with management, develop strategies and business processes, as well as effective safety and compliance programs that will ensure the success of operations
? Build and develop workflows that will optimize and scale DRUPP Kwara’s business
? Manage operations to achieve business targets and minimize operational expenses. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
? Periodically review and identify performance/process gaps or inefficiencies and recommend solutions/lead the implementation of change
? Provide direction to the operations of DRUPP Kwara including ensuring maintenance of all vehicles and the safety/compliance of all drivers
? Develop and implement standard operating procedures and policies that will ensure that operations of DRUPP Kwara is seamless
? Develop strategies that are aimed at maximizing driver/car/location utilization
? In collaboration with the business development lead, analyze driver performance and KPI’s and recommend procedures for service improvement
? Maintain a positive work atmosphere by managing the team and communicating in a manner that fosters the success of business operations to meet company/client demands and expectations
? Collaborate with HR and Business Development Lead to evaluate and determine staffing levels
? Stay up to date on current industry regulations, trends, and other relevant information and advise stakeholders as necessary
? Manage onboarding for drivers and ensure they are provided with all the necessary information and training they need to be successful on the platform. Ensure drivers act in compliance with regulations. Conduct periodic driver training
? Coach and manage the team to perform all duties in a professional manner and promote a positive image of DRUPP Kwara while serving as a role model
? Support Business Development with various growth requests/proposal requests and support initiatives that will lead to growth, profitability, and success
? Periodically collate feedback and reports from drivers. Prepare periodic and adhoc reports for management
? Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with issues related to drivers (private and personal matters) etc
? Maintain a high degree of integrity at all times
? Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
? Minimum of seven (7) years experience, four (4) of which must have been spent in a logistics or transportation management role.
? First degree from reputable university/polytechnic is required
? Supervisory experience in a logistics/transportation/supply chain environment is required
? Self-starter with the ability to proactively set things in motion ahead of when the need will arise
? Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
? Able to plan, think ahead, and prepare action plans to achieve results
? Possession of customer-centric mindset with exceptional customer service skills
? Possession of good work ethics, credibility and integrity
? Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving and coaching skills
? Strong collaboration skills with great attention to details and business acumen
? Ability to work under pressure and quickly turn around quality work
? Comfortable with ambiguity in a constantly changing environment and flexible to adopt new approaches
? Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite and ability to adopt/explore new technology
? Willingness to travel to various states in Nigeria as may be required for meetings
? Highly driven – able to see a project through to successful conclusion
